Happy Birthday Gift Box Card

This box came about because I needed a box to place the cold porcelain flowers in. I didn't have a particular design in mind and no template so the box is a bit hit and miss but overall I think it's turned out well.

I made a paper pouch to hide the dry oasis the flowers are secured in.

Just Because

This 6 x 6 easel card has an acetate window to frame the "picture".

I've used ivory Centura Pearl for the base and box envelope. The embellishments are all cut from a variety of spellbinder dies.

I've used extra strong double sided to secure the acetate to the card and the same again to attach the card front to the base.

Shabby Birthday Card

This is an 8" x 8" card using paper from the Bird Song collection by First edition.

I started by inking around the edge of the top card to soften the edges and stamped the images. I then tore the aperture and rolled the sides back as shown, the edges of the aperture have been left rough. I glued the top card to the base card before decorating. The dress form was die cut from plain black card which I've embossed in silver. The feathers are marabou which I glued to form the skirt before finishing the waist with a piece of ribbon.
I cut the flowers from a linen effect paper and inked the edges to soften and added a pink pearl to the centres to finish before adding the Happy Birthday tag.

I mounted the finished card onto an 8" x 8" base and made a box for the envelope. An easy card to make.

Oriental Mother's Day Card

This card is using a number of elements, it's an A5 card with a Centura Pearl ivory base, the front is covered in a linen effect pastel blue paper. To start I cut out the Tattered Lace Oriental Fan die to form the aperture. I then lined the inside of the card using the floral paper and cut out a further fan in the same paper. I placed the two fans on top of each other with the floral fan uppermost and glued them onto the lining making sure they sat in the aperture. I die cut the squares to mount the sentiment making sure it was hidden from view through the aperture.

The embellishments are from Serif Craft Artist Japanese Garden Digikit. I printed them out on plain white card and then scanned them into my Brother Scan n Cut to cut them out.

Drawing with Shapes

All these cards have been made in Serif CAP, all the major elements on each design have been created using the shapes tool, lines & text. I'm going to post more details on how I did this soon.

Digital Papercrafting

These cards have been designed using Craft Artist Professional software and the Fantasy Fairy Autumn digikit. I drew the chickens myself.

I really like the following two simple designs. Both drawings are my own work which I scanned and converted to an image. Once converted to an image it's a simple process to drop the photos into a digital frame using Craft Artist Professional.
